Playing around with colors and guitars

Lately i saw a book of chinese manga artists (esp. a famed guy called Benjamin), amazing what they do with colors. I liked it very much, so i tryed to draw with these strange colorpalettes. Difficult, the style altered every minute i drew - so the result becomes totally different to my first intention. But it was a great experience and took me another step towards.

Sam Elliot

I'm not a real fan of mustaches. It becomes only a few men, so there are Tom Selleck, Lemmy Kilmister or Sam Elliot. And all look strange without.

Clint Eastwood

I posted a sketch to this about one year ago and found that it was worth to work it out. I made him about a hundred years older. But i dunno, perhaps he actually IS a hundred years older?

Karl Lagerfeld

A really queer old stick, arrogant and a bit choleric but lovely anyhow and always good for a show. And - bien sûr - a great fashion designer. A face that asks for a caricature.
Most work i got with his eyes, 'cause finding a foto of him without sunglasses is nearly impossible.

Lt. Aldo Raine

Probably the thousandth inglorious basterds caricature, but Brad Pitt got such a thankful face and doing him was great fun!
First i wanted to take the in my opinion best actor, Christoph Waltz, but didn't found a adequate large foto.

Thema unserer 10. (!) Bilderwumme Drawing Night war retro-scifi. Ich dachte mehr an die Jetsons, aber Lutz hatte so fantastische, inspirierende Star Wars Bücher dabei - also wurde alles anders.

Diese digitale Landschaft entstand eigentlich ohne vorher irgendeinen Fantasystreifen gesehen zu haben. Aber meine Frau sagt, es sähe aus wie im Herrn der Ringe. Ich glaube, sie hat recht.
I painted this digital landscape without any reason, but my wife said it looks like somewhere in lord of rings. Probably she's right.

Es gab eine Version mit Blut im Gesicht (Bruce ist immer voll Blut), ich hab mich dann aber doch für eine entschärfte Variante entschieden.
There was a version with blood in his face (Bruce is always full of blood), but i decided to take the more innocent layout.

Ich jetzt auch auf der Bilderwumme. Hammerinspiration Tag für Tag von den Großmeistern des Graphikuniversums, quasi den Monsters of blog. Und jeden zweiten Montag im Monat gibt's da auch niemals gesehene, atemberaubende Graphiken von mir.

Mallorca

36-Stundentrip nach Mallorca, tolle Hochzeit gefeiert (nicht meine) und Zeit gefunden für eine schnelle Zeichnung: Paseo Maritimo, Consolat del mar.

36-hours-trip to Mallorca, had a great wedding feast (not mine), anyhow found time to make one quick sketch: Paseo Maritimo, Consolat del mar.

Vetulonia

Wir waren eine Woche in Vetulonia (Südtoskana). Der Ort ist tatsächlich über 2500 Jahre alt und ist so schwer mit dem Auto zu erreichen, das sich dort kaum Touristen hinverirren. Trotzdem hat man immer eine Fangemeinde aus Kindern beim Zeichnen. Die Zeichnungen entstanden mit einem Pentel Brushpen und etwas Edding für die schwarzen Flächen.

We visited Vetulonia (south-tuscany) for one week. The village is in fact older than 2500 years! It's so difficult to reach even by car that you don't find any tourists there - anyhow you always have a fan-community of kids while drawing. I used a Pentel brushpen and an Edding for the black areas.

zurück und fleissig gewesen / back and been assiduous

Wunderschöner Urlaub in der Toskana, seeehr heiss und vieeel Kultur (und gutes Essen). Haufenweise Zeichnungen gemacht, hier die Ersten (Massa Marittima, San Gimignano and Portoferraio/Elba).
