Playing around with colors and guitars

Lately i saw a book of chinese manga artists (esp. a famed guy called Benjamin), amazing what they do with colors. I liked it very much, so i tryed to draw with these strange colorpalettes. Difficult, the style altered every minute i drew - so the result becomes totally different to my first intention. But it was a great experience and took me another step towards.

Sam Elliot

I'm not a real fan of mustaches. It becomes only a few men, so there are Tom Selleck, Lemmy Kilmister or Sam Elliot. And all look strange without.
This is a digital sunday-sketch with the attention on composition and color (and beard:)

Clint Eastwood

I posted a sketch to this about one year ago and found that it was worth to work it out. I made him about a hundred years older. But i dunno, perhaps he actually IS a hundred years older?

Karl Lagerfeld

A really queer old stick, arrogant and a bit choleric but lovely anyhow and always good for a show. And - bien sûr - a great fashion designer. A face that asks for a caricature.
Most work i got with his eyes, 'cause finding a foto of him without sunglasses is nearly impossible.

Lt. Aldo Raine

Probably the thousandth inglorious basterds caricature, but Brad Pitt got such a thankful face and doing him was great fun!
First i wanted to take the in my opinion best actor, Christoph Waltz, but didn't found a adequate large foto.

Retro SciFi

Thema unserer 10. (!) Bilderwumme Drawing Night war retro-scifi. Ich dachte mehr an die Jetsons, aber Lutz hatte so fantastische, inspirierende Star Wars Bücher dabei - also wurde alles anders.

Lord of rings

Diese digitale Landschaft entstand eigentlich ohne vorher irgendeinen Fantasystreifen gesehen zu haben. Aber meine Frau sagt, es sähe aus wie im Herrn der Ringe. Ich glaube, sie hat recht.
I painted this digital landscape without any reason, but my wife said it looks like somewhere in lord of rings. Probably she's right.
